Mid Century Modern Magic

Our team at Morgan Kofron Design is underway working on our newest project with Deco Communities, called Edison.  The design of the building draws influence from Mid Century Modern style, an iconic time period in design.  We have been feeling inspired by the classic and famous gems in the deserts of Palm Springs and even our own backyard here in Downtown Phoenix.  The bold pops of color and innovative furniture design set this style apart and make it unique.  The creative use of texture and tone on the walls in this Craig Ellwood Bobertz residence in Palm Springs make for beautiful contrast.

Bold pops of color are a signature of mid century modern style.  A brightly colored front door has been a popular feature, such as this tangerine colored entry.

A more calm and neutral example of iconic mid century style is exemplified in this gorgeous master bedroom.  The fur throw, textured rug and floor to ceiling draperies look rich while still maintaining the simplicity of the room.

An iconic mid century style home by Guilherme Torres, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, holds incredible mid century furniture originals.  The bubble gum pink, peacock teal and bright orange pieces are a feast for the eyes.  The shape and tone of the colors make the pieces fun and inviting, but also works of art.
